Anseios da Escrita Moderna de Virginia Woolf nos Anos 30

This article was motivated by the aspirations of modern writing described in the essay “The Narrow Bridge Art”. This essay discusses the new demands of modern narrative on traditional realist works and canonical poetry. According to Virginia Woolf, the modern spirit had the new demand to merge vision and facts. The novel The Years by the same author pits realist and modernist narrative techniques against one another in a formal stalemate. This article investigates how Virginia Woolf would continue her modernity in her penultimate novel published in the 1930s.
