Os eixos da Política Externa do Paraguai de 1954 a 1989

Abstract

The longevity of Stroessner dictatorship clashes with the political instability experienced from the end of Paraguayan War. It can be attributed to social repression and economic growth due, partly, to a pragmatic and “realistic” foreign policy, whose main aspects are here analyzed, regarding especially United States, Brazil and Argentina.
