The years after the military coup in Brazil were marked by the intensification of the critical debate until the moment when institutional repression almost annihilated the possibility of normalized exercise of artistic activity and art criticism. In fact, Brazilian art begins to operate in a new regime whose differential element would be the performance of the art market and the international circuit as validators of the importance of the artistic tradition; It is in this scenario that we have the
reflections of Morais on the place of the symbolic production in Brazil with the world reordering of the capitalist system.
