Augusto Rodrigues e as Escolinhas de Arte do Brasil:
entre o ensino moderno, pós-moderno e hodierno da arte
Keywords:
Augusto Rodrigues, Ensino da Arte, Escolinhas de Arte do BrasilAbstract
This article explores the legacy of the Escolinhas de Arte do Brasil and its relationship with current education. It proposes as objectives to (re)value the legacy of Augusto Rodrigues, to understand changes in the teaching/learning strategies of the schools, to analyze transformations for modern education and to illuminate ruptures and aspects that remain in what we call postmodern art teaching. He questions whether there were seeds in the Escolinhas experience to pave the way for the art education we aspire to. It begins with the presentation of biographical aspects of Augusto Rodrigues and historical aspects of the artist/educator and the Escolinhas de Arte do Brasil. It emphasizes the transformations that have been implanted in the teaching/learning relationships and seeks to illuminate the contributions of the Schools to the formal organization of teaching in the area, especially focused on the visual arts. It ends with the proposition of critical and historical reading by BNCC in dialogue with the legacy of the schools, in a proposition to open other dialogues.
