This article has the purpose of making a critical reflection about two hypothesis discussed by authors that have studied Brasília city, by considering the premise that the Capital of the Country walks to become a polynucleated and unequal megalopolis. Through the dialogue with authors who have been studying Brasilia since its foundation, in 1960, and with others that have been bending over the concepts of geopolitics, space morphology, urbanism, territory, segregation, hospitality, hostis and hospes, on intends to contribute to the deepening of the reflection about the folowing hypotheses: first, that the socio-historical-cultural context since the Brasilia foundation, as well as in the last 57 years, has determined the stratification and segregation of his urban space; second, and in consequence of this context, that the touristic hospitality to the traveler and to the inhabitant is more hostis and less hospes. The method used is the brico-method, as proposed by Avena (2008), through the research object approach from multiply perspectives of authors, in the exercise of seizing the City while urban space appropriated by the traveler and inhabitant.
