The Latin American historical centers: preservation, urbanism, architecture and landscape

The urban-architectural values of the traditional city, including the insertion of new architecture, make possible a vision of historical urban landscape, like another stage of the evolution and the urban history; as part of the collective memory and the current expressions of high-quality, respectful of the preexistences, the stratigraphy and the limits of change in the transformations. It offers a look at the conservation of Latin Americans historical centers including the preservation, urbanism, landscape and architecture at present, from the past and toward the future. With the objective of explaining the conditions of the study and how they influenced the first decades of the XXI century, the most recent period. Methodologically, it intends a synchronic analysis for periods and a diachronic analysis of the related variables are proposed from the foundational period.
