Abstract

This article focuses on the ethnic arrangements established by the Indigenous group known as Pataxó Hãhãhãi, ”“which inhabits the reservation Caramuru-Paraguassu, in the south part of the state of Bahia, Brazil”“, analyzing their political and territorial implications. It also considers how the different perceptions regarding the history of each family/group and ethnie ”“categories that converge to the concept of ethnical families”“ have produced a narrative about the territorial struggle that has alowed the Pataxó Hãhãhãi to completely recuperate their territory along the past three decades.
